Gin Sour

I am a Barbie girl…and we are in a Barbie world! There is so much buzz around the new Barbie movie and I was inspired to make some delicious cocktails!

If you grew up in the 80s then you must know about Magic Moves Barbie! This cocktail is inspired by her and is super light and refreshing. Using egg whites in cocktails can seem scary, but trust me…it will make your drink so smooth!

For this recipe, we are using my homemade Macadamia Syrup which you can purchase here!

MAGIC MOVES BARBIE

• 2oz Gin

• 0.5oz Blue Curacao

• 0.5oz Lemon Juice

• 0.5oz Macadamia Syrup 

• 1 Egg White

Add the egg white into your cocktail shaker (with no ice) along with all of your other ingredients. Shake the cocktail really well to get those air bubbles into the cocktail. Now add your ice and shake again.

Pour your cocktail into a coup glass and let it settle (wait until the foam gets to the surface). 

The citrus and the gin are a match made in heaven. You could even say that the flavors are magic (no Barbie pun intended).
