Autumn in Manhattan

Gingersnap... oh, gingersnap. This one is my fav of the 2024 Autumn Syrup release.
Made with real ginger, whole spices, and a touch of molasses, Gingersnap Syrup tastes like a ginger molasses cookie (specifically, the cookies from Bakesale Betty, if any of you are familiar with the legendary Bay Area bakery).

Personally, I think this one is the most versatile of the fall line-up. Incredible for bringing fall vibes in the obvious bourbon applications, but surprisingly great in more tropical drinks too. I had a friend mix this up with a funky Jamaican rum, pineapple juice, lime, and coconut and it was outstanding. But the spec I’m giving you is for what we’re calling “Autumn in Manhattan” and it’s going to be my fall go-to sipper:

2oz Bourbon
1oz Sweet Vermouth
.5oz Gingersnap Syrup
3 dashes Peach Bitters
Peach slice to garnish

Stir down ingredients in mixing glass, then strain over large cube. Express oils from the orange peel garnish before dropping into glass.

PS- this syrup over vanilla ice cream and fresh peaches is OUTSTANDING. Grilled peaches would be amazing too… basically I’m in love with ginger and peaches 🍑
