Ube Army Navy

Purple cocktails are where it’s at for Spring Drinks! So what is Ube? Ube is a purple tuber, closely related to yam and taro. Ube is actually the Tagalog word for “tuber”, and you’ll see Ube used in Filipino pastry quite often. What does Ube taste like? Heaven. But if that’s too broad, it specifically has a nutty vanilla quality with earthy undertones. Ube syrup is quite hard to come by here in the US, so I decided to add it to my line up of Savidge Kitchen Syrups. You can shop those here!

This Ube Army Navy is a smooth and delicious gin drink. In this cocktail, the Ube Syrup replaced the Orgeat Syrup - A refreshing twist!
