S’mores Old Fashioned

Ah, fall is in the air which means sweater weather and delicious old fashioneds are too! Today I am sharing a fall themed old fashioned recipe. This drink is definitely for whiskey lovers, so if you like sweeter cocktails, play with the ratios to find the best version for you!

If your guests are new to Old Fashioneds, I’d suggest a 2:1 ratio of whiskey to syrup, and then dial back from there as you acquire the taste.

This S’mores Old Fashion is not a drink to start your night, but rather to finish it off. It is like drinking a decadent dessert!

S’MORES OLD FASHIONED

  • 1.5oz Bourbon (I used Noble Oak)

  • 1oz Godiva Dark Chocolate Liqueur (Or Creme De Cocoa)

  • 0.25oz Hershey’s Special Dark Syrup

  • A Few Dashes of Chocolate Bitters

  • Crushed Graham Crackers (For the Rim)

  • Marshmallows (For the Garnish)

Add ice to a cocktail mixer glass along with all of your ingredients. Stir everything together. Grab a short glass and rim half of the glass with simple syrup and them into some crushed graham crackers. Add a large ice cube to the glass and strain in the cocktail. Using a metal cocktail skewer, add a marshmallow to it and torch it until it's nice and brown (or burnt, whatever your preference is). Place it on top for the garnish and enjoy this classic campfire treat but as an Old Fashioned!
