How to make simple syrup

How sweet it is... but simple syrup can be SO much more than just a sweet addition to round out your cocktails. Infusing your simple syrup with herbs instantly elevates your at home bar game. Some of my favorites include:

-Mint

-Basil

-Thyme

-Rosemary

-Lavender

-Ginger

It's just a 1:1 ratio of water and sugar, bring it to a boil, and let your favorite herbs steep there for a couple of hours, up to several days. If you strain out whatever herb you’re steeping, the syrup will last a touch longer. If you leave it in, the flavor will intensify over time. Simple, right? (sorry, couldn't help myself).

Happy cocktailing, friends!
